Supercharging My Morning Routine with deltaG®, the Oxford Ketone Ester

Carpe diem.

There was a time when this Latin term for seize the day was simply hyperbole to me. Today, these words serve as the backdrop for my morning routine.

My morning routine has become the most important process of my entire day. The timing and execution of the things that I do within the first few hours of every morning have a direct correlation on how successfully I go about seizing the day ahead of me. When I go about my morning without a sense of structure, the rest of the day follows suit. I realized long ago that this was not a winning strategy.

Over the past few years, I have developed a routine that has enabled me to maximize my morning and primes my mind and body for success.

Obviously, there are some variations day-over-day depending on the minutiae of everyday life. Below is a quick look at how I start my morning when I know I need to perform at my highest state of readiness, no matter what the day has in store for me.

6:30 am – Classical Music and Belly Breathing

I wake up every morning to sounds of Gymnopédie No. 1 by Erik Satie. Not only does this masterpiece serve as a gentle way to wake up, but classical music such as this has been proven to reduce stress and lower blood pressure.

As I lie there, soaking up the sounds of the three piano compositions that comprise Satie’s Trois Gymnopédies, I re-center my mind and body by performing 5 minutes of belly breathing. Belly breathing, or diaphragmatic breathing, involves fully engaging the stomach, abdominal muscles, and diaphragm when breathing. This means actively pulling the diaphragm down with each inward breath.

6:45 am – Make My Bed

My mother would be proud. While this task seems trivial, it serves as a sense of daily accomplishment. Small wins are important!

6:50 am – Hydrate

We all know the importance of staying hydrated. What started out as a glass of cold water has since turned into a glass of warm water mixed with Meyer lemon and Himalayan salt. No, I am not crazy. There are oodles of benefits of this mixture, including additional hydration benefits via the salt, aiding in the neutralization of bacteria in your mouth and throat, and jumpstarting digestion.

7:00 am – Cold Shower for Thermogenesis

After accomplishing the sanitary goals of showering (in warm water), I slowly turn the shower handle until it is pouring out the coldest water possible so that my body can enjoy the numerous benefits of cold-water exposure and activating thermogenesis.

Thermogenesis is a mammalian process in which the body produces heat within tissues, mainly brown adipose tissue and skeletal muscle, to raise body temperature. Cold water exposure and thermogenesis have been proven to:

-Enhance immune function

-Lower body fat

-Increase hormone levels

-Reduce inflammation

7:15 am – Brush My Teeth

This one is a no-brainer. I almost did not even add it in because it is so obvious that it should be done. I only made note of it because my dentist would be very upset with me if I did not. Hi Doc!

7:30 – Black Coffee and deltaG
®, Oxford Ketone Ester

This is my favorite part. To me, coffee and deltaG®, Oxford Ketone Ester go together like spaghetti and meatballs.

As I am boiling the water necessary to French press my favorite medium roast beans, I think long and hard about my day. “What challenges do I need to tackle? Am I working out today? How much laser-like focus will be required of me?”

If after some reflection the day ahead of me requires me at my absolute best, I reach for a bottle of deltaH®. To me, there is no better way to ensure my mind and body will be operating at peak performance than supercharging myself via ketone ester.

Powered by ten grams of the Oxford Ketone Ester, deltaH® is the perfect complement to a strong cup of joe. The ketone ester act is a synergistic way with the coffee’s natural caffeine content to kick start my brain into go-mode. Within 30 minutes of this potent combo, a remarkable sense of focus falls over me. My energy level sky-rockets, but in a clear and controllable way that allows me to channel my energy to a myriad of tasks.

Whether it is opening up my email and starting my work day, meditating, or enjoying a nice yoga session, it is at this point I am now ready to seize the day.

Tips for enjoying the Oxford Ketone Ester

The taste of unflavored Ketone Ester can be really hard to tolerate. Thankfully for all of us, TdeltaS has addressed this issue in deltaG®, the Oxford Ketone Ester. Produced with stevia leaf and monk fruit extract  ΔG® and ΔH® do not have that unfavorable taste that consumers often gripe about.

With that said, some people still find the idea of sucking back a bottle of ΔH® by its lonesome a less than desirable task. If that is the case for you, here are some tips on how to curb the taste.

-Utilize that sweet, aromatic cup of coffee (or tea) as a chaser. The wonderful taste of coffee (or tea) serves as a great way to mask the taste profile of the ketone esters. Simply alternate sips

-Ginger! Pickled ginger, like the kind you get with sushi, is a world-renowned pallet cleanser. If the taste of a Ketone ester is not your favorite, sucking on some ginger slabs of this will surely do the trick. You can find this form of ginger at grocery stores or on Amazon.

-Mix it in sparkling water. If it is the case that you do not mind the taste, but it is a little too concentrated, try mixing the ester into sparkling water. I find that pouring the ester into a bottle of Topo Chico or San Pellegrino dilutes the strong taste of the ester and creates a delicious drink that almost resembles soda.

I don’t believe I pad $95 for these 3 little bottles. There were no instructions in the package nor on the bottle. I think I got ripped off.
I haven’t taken it because I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.
